Benefits of yoga for children
At Tiptoes children's yoga we know the many benefits that yoga can have for children, from the physical benefits such as developing strength, balance and co-ordination to the mental benefits such as improved concentration and resilience.
We aim to deliver classes which are both enjoyable and relaxing, encouraging positivity and kindness, as well as demonstrating that practising yoga can be really useful for managing stress and anxiety.
Each class includes learning & practicing yoga postures (asana), playing a non-competitive game which is focused around concentration and memory or developing certain postures and ends with some relaxation and breath work.
The physical practice of yoga asanas, the breathing techniques and the other aspects of yoga philosophy which we try to incorporate into each class help to develop and improve focus, self esteem, gratitude, empathy, kindness, inner strength and perseverance. If children develop these skills from a young age they will take these into their adult lives and improve not only their own lives but also the lives of those around them!

Yoga in Primary Schools & Nurseries
